Yeah, he's just getting used to his surroundings. It sounds like he's doing fine. Congrats on your new pet.

If you just brought him home today, then yes, I would say it is normal. Puppies sleep a lot anyways. But your puppy went through a lot, just coming to a new home. He is probably a little bit stressed from the move, and it probably tired him out. Don't worry about it. Just give him some time to get more used to the new home.

Perfectly normal - young puppies sleep a good deal of the time, get up and play hard, eat and sleep again.

My breeder gave us a "what to expect" sheet when we got our pupppy. She said it was normal for a new puppy to sleep from 18 to 20 hours a day. What you describe sounds perfectly normal to me. The trip home will wear a puppy out.

yep young puppies sleep a good deal. especially if he had just had a very long ride or worked up earlier that day. dont worry. if this keeps up though you may want to call your vet. but pretty much i thinkit is just from stress being in a new "habitat" and what not.

What an adorable mixture. I would love to see him.......
YES, puppies sleep all the time. When he wakes get him to wherever he is going to go potty. Encourage him to go with one word. I always use pee pee and they know that means poop too.
Feed and water him and get him to do the pee pee thing again.
It goes this way: Sleep, pee, eat, pee, play, pee, over and over.
Exactly like having a new baby. He will cry at night too. Mine don't cry because they are in my bed with me at night..................
Enjoy your baby and let him train you. Don't resist, just give in, it is easier that way..............
