I had my baby last September, got the depo shot befor I left the hospitol, bled for the normal 4-six weeks afterwards, and then had my first period since the pregnancy in December. It was pretty normal, like the ones I had before I was pregnant. I wasn't able to get the shot again on account of personal matters, but my husband and I had unprotected sex.

My second period came some time in January. I ended up bleeding very heavily for about three weeks with cramping and nausea. It stopped about a week and a half ago but I'm having some pinkish discharge every now and then.

Don't dig into my personal matters, just trust that I'm not lazy, afraid, or an idiot and that I would go to the doctor if I were able.

Did I have a very early miscarriage?

You could have, but your body could also have been thrown off by the Depo shot. You also could have implantation bleeding as well which would mean you are just barely pregnant now. Theres no way to tell for sure, but I would suggest calling your Gynecologist and addressing your concern. He/She will probably have a much better understanding of what is going on than me or anyone else here. Good luck!

don't get me wrong, but one of your most fertile times in life is right after you have a baby, but your body could be just readjusting to not being pregnant anymore. More than likely if you had a miscarriage you would have had knife like pains in your abdomen.

If you had a period in December, and a period in January, then I'd say you weren't pregnant, and thus didn't have a miscarriage.
