It would not kill you, but you would not be healthy. Even vegetarians get protein. See mypyramid.gov for details on the food groups and a balanced diet

I wouldn't recommend eating only fruit. When I was a vegan I tried to get a nice balance of fruits, veggies, and I would eat avocados w/ crackers or a handful of almonds to get all of my needed protein.
I think if you only ate fruit that you would start to feel lethargic and you would continually have the highs and lows that come with eating sugar (even if it is natural sugar). On the bright side, it will keep your digestive system clean...

You won't have sufficient nutrients. Eating an all fruit diet in the morning is fine but by lunchtime, it is best to eat some normal food. You can still be a vegan but you need to add proteins into your diet.

There actually is a fruitarian movement, but you aren't trying to live off fruit alone. You say you eat a normal dinner, so the way you eat sounds quite healthy.

In the superstore, fruits are usually picked out far too soon. Some are rocks, many are bitter. Some of the fruit and vegetables are right (zucchini, onions, garlic, lettuce, greens, and a few others) so I'd have to go with vegetables.

I suppose it could be done, but only if you took vitamin supplements every day. Also, you'd be really constipated and probably feel sick a lot because of all the acids in most fruits.
