If you spent a great Valentine's evening with your date and she told you that she likes you a lot and wants to hang out a lot more often but then at the end of the evening she leaves you to go sleep over at her best friend's house, can it still work? I really wanted her to spend the night and she said that she wanted to, but at the end she left for another friend. What do you make of this?

She wasn't ready to spend the night with you. Or she was and just got nervous. I wouldn't worry too much.

It really depends on the whole situation.
Have the two of you been intimate before? or was this just a 1st or 2nd date?
If the two of you have never been intimate before, she probably would like to spend the night with you , ..yet... in the back of her mind she might think it is still too soon. We women / girls, feel safe around our best friends, maybe she wanted to talk the whole thing over with her best friend to get the re-assurance that she was doing the right thing, ..Like I said it depends on the whole situation, how long the two of you have been dating etc.

I think she likes you, but I think she's a little uncomfortable around you. When you tell a girl you want her to sleep over at your house, her mind usually flicks to one possibility. I think you know what I'm getting at. She may have thought that you wanted to take advantage of the situation when that wasnt at all what you were trying to do. (Maybe you were, I dont know, but thats none of my beeswax) She probably wasnt comfortable with the situation and went to her friends as a way to remedy that. Next time you go out with her, make it clear that your not going to do anything she doesnt want to do. Make sure she knows you wont push her into anything. Good luck :)

Leaving to get something to drink she either has a drinking problem or is not being honest about why she left, or if she did really leave for that reason she is shallow and a game player.

maybe she already had plans and didn't want to leave her best friend hanging.
hoes before bros : )
and even if she did say that she wanted to hang out more, it doesn't necessarily mean THAT night. lol

Keep talking to her......and see where it leads over time. It may be too early to make a decision about this girl. Keep calling/ talking with her.

She sounds like an alcoholic! I would check your priorities with this one. If she is a party girl and you dig that, cool, otherwise, she does not seem so emotionally attached....Talk to her about this and find out.

don't waste your time on her! find someone who wants to be with you and only you!! and not base your time spent together on whether you have drinks or not.

Maybe you are moving too fast and you need to give her time.
