I clicked no when it asked if I "wanted to save changes"

If you used Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.) you may find that the program saved a backup copy. If you open the program and click on the "File" menu you would see the filename (something like document1.doc or workbook1.xls).

If that is not the case, try your TEMP folder. It is usually located in C:\Windows\Temp or C:\Windows\System32\TEMP. Sort all files in the folder descending by date. You will find your file to be the first in the list.

I'm afraid its gone forever....You must have saved the changes..Well to ensure such things don't happen, i always save(press ctrl+s) after typing in each line...This way you can prevent atleast some data if you accidentally close the window

Try opening the start up menu and click on documents It should be there.

go to help and search. Go to undo changes and set for earlier setting. I is worth a try. you should also set your computer to automatically saves documents every 5 minutes
