There is no regulations on licensing for dog grooming.

unlicensed pet grooming isn't a good idea anywhere and i am a pet grooming salon manager. the training and education you get gives you a greater understanding of all aspects of grooming and the ability to put the things you learned into practice

should a doctor go through med school? hell yes!

i wouldn't take my puppy to a groomer who isn't licensed. whether you need one or not, it's best to get one.
