I actually wrote an article on this very subject Feb 6.
You call see the whole article here:

I talk about anger in relation to maturity in my article, however, it is the same principle that applies to all emotions.
Hope it helps

Well. Love is not all roses. Love mean for better or for worse. If all you expect is the better, then you are not emotionally mature. Being mature means having the experience to know what it is all about...knowing that when it goes wrong, that it may be bad for a while, but it will get better. Relationships are like rollercoasters. They are up,. they are down, and they are up again. An emotionally mature person knows this. They know that there are two people in the relationship and not one...Good luck.

Emotionally mature means that you have some control over your thoughts and your feelings. For instance as we grow older and wiser we begin to think differently. When we are young we sometimes act without thinking, we may think if it feels right , then it is right without thinking some things through. Emotions are feelings ,they may be happy feelings, sad feelings, etc. As we mature and experience life we learn how to balance our feelings and thoughts so that we may make better decisions because we have learned some things about ourselves. The more things that we learn about ourselves will help us to know what we want in a relationship. Hope that I have helped. Knowing your age would have made it a little easier to answer this question.

Emotional maturity usually refers to a certain level of life experience with relationships etc. Honestly, there are a lot of different kinds of love and the type of romantic love we experience can change and grow just as much as we do over the years. You may not be emotionally mature enough to deal with sex responsibley or other things of that nature, but you're never too young too be in love with someone. :o)

It means you are able to "read" other peoples emotions with no problem; i.e., you could notice that someone is sad just by the they speak. It could also mean that you are in tune with your own emotions.

It means that you care about the feelings of others as much as you care about your own. And when your partner feels the same way is when you have "Soul Love".
