OK, the best thing to do is to not let her know it is such a big deal to you. If she knows this it will not be good, trust me. OK, ask her very soon and ask very casually. I am not sure if u go to school w/her or not, if u do, then catch up to her in the hall way and say "Hey CASEY, I am about to get tickets for the ball next week, I'd like to get one for you, if you will go with me."

Say this as casually and cool as you can. As you can see, it's not really a question, it's a statement. If she is into you, she will say sure, if not she will decline you. If u are declined, who cares, u have lots of opportunities in the future!

It depends on how well you know her and what her dating situation is. If you're sure she's single and you guys are friends you should ask her right away. Being asked to an event right before it happens is insulting, it usually means that you were either the last person on the list or an afterthought, it also gives her time to pick a dress and all that stuff ;o) Also, if you ask her and she says no you have enough time to find another date.
As far as how to ask her, again, if you know her and you hang out just ask her the next time you're hanging out and you're having a good time. If possible it should reallly be in person, not over the phone. Girls really don't care how you ask them, it's more of the when. Ask her soon and do it in person. Good Luck!

Okay! Look clearly you like her (a lot!). This is what you do. First, try to get to know her see what she likes (don't spy on her!). Second, once you guys know each other, ask her out. Don't ask her directly though, cause that is just like out of the blue. Make her laugh or talk about another conversation. Then, you should talk around it. Like saying "So there is a military ball coming up on March, and I don't have a date." After you say that, then ask her. (Make sure that you bring some flowers so that she can't say no!)

Well... how well do you know her? Do you work with her? Have you just seen her around? Do you know her through a friend or something like that? Do you talk once and a while? Does she already have your phone number?... I'm serious, it matters!... etc..

Anyhow, based on what you said only, maybe start to say to her, you can't believe how soon the ball is coming and how important it is to you to go (it will help her to think at least how important she may be to you, or at least that you like her quite a bit to even be asking her) I know it's last minute and all, but would love it if you were there with me on that night... Does that sound OK to you? (Ask HER! that) ... ;):)

GOOD LUCK! :-)

Try saying something sweet like "Have you heard about the ROTC military ball in march? Well, I was wondering if you would like to go with me?" (If she says yes then ask but if not take some time to explain and then ask) Ask her as soon as possible so that she has time to plan everything (a dress, parent permission, tickets)

Show her this........I went to a Military Ball once and it was so much fun. Seeing everyone in their dress uniforms was fantastic. Although I was a litter older than high school age (20) when I went , it was much better than prom. You would have a great time, its fun and no pressure from being around a whole lot of your "school friends" ( I hope that makes sense). Good Luck.

You need to ask her right away so she can make plans or if she does not want to go then someone else needs to be asked so they can make plans. Just ask her casually if she is free on that date would she like to go to the Ball with you.Be casual and relaxed, remember it is just a question that can be answered one way or another. Have fun at the Ball, sounds like it is going to be a special evening for you.

Okay..Im a girl myself...I would say you need to find a perfect location where you guys can be alone...like some where romantic or take her for a walk. Then ask "Will you go to the ball with me?" or "I really like you ,and I think your really cute. (hot or beautiful) I was wondering if you would go to the ball with me." Take my adive. And one more thing. If she turns you down, don't worry there are plenty of other girls who will go with you.

ask her when she is alone. you know, just as long as she isnt around any other friends because they would all mess with you and her. get her one on one. (im not saying candle light or anything just so that there is nobody else around). like do it after school real quick. just pull her aside and ask her. and if she doesnt respond in 2-3 seconds give her the option to think about.
say something like "well let me know by ______" and give her a set day that you have to know so she keeps thinking about it and you're not left wondering when she gonna let you know. also give her all the details, time, place, what to wear, etc.

Before you find your self spending ur time n effort in a lost cause, be straight forward and say it. Ms XX would you go with me to the ball? I really would be delighted if you were to be my companion for the evening.

Straight n flat. Then u know and she gets ready or u move on.
