Ok what you need to do is have very SMALL meals and exactly 8 GLASSES of water.
(Have a glass of water every hour)
Morning: Banana and 1 glass of water
Lunch: a small homemade chicken salad/ ham and lettuce sandwitch or an apple and an orange.
Dinner: NO BURRITOS! have some stir fry veges with roast lamb (very small amount)/boiled brocolli and 3 potatoes.
NO DESERT!
Then walk around the block swiftly and then have a shower and have an early sleep.
(If your really craving for something sweet try a little bit of fruit sorbet)
NOW DICIPLINE YOUR EATING HABBITS AND FOLLOW THIS PROGRAM
Trust me it really WORKS, I lost 13kg!!

If you want to lose weight then leave the country for a few months.
Go to Europe or Asia or anywhere for that matter. Here's why: The food supply here is full of hormones and steroids. They do this to increase the size of the livestock so they can sell you more meat. Our dairy products are over pasteurised - to the extent that all cheeses pretty much have the same bland taste. Our vegetables are genetically modified. That's the garbage we're eating and that's the reason why we're the fattest people on the planet. Whenever I travel to another country I lose weight - no matter how much I eat. This happens EVERY TIME I travel. I travel to Europe, Australia, Hong Kong, Tahiti (boy did I pig out there), Venezuela,....... pretty much everywhere. While I'm in the U.S. I ALWAYS gain weight - no matter how much I try to lose it. Tried excercise, and pretty much every diet around and nothing works. The pounds just keep piling on - unless I travel to other countries.
Diets and excersise don't work.

If your cholesterol is really an issue, then just doing a balanced diet will work. Yes it is slow, but fast weight loss does absolutely nothing for your health at all..
btw, I would cut out the burritoes and almost anything that they sell at your school. Even eating the "lighter" options at fast food or school cafeterias is usually very fattening still.
Take your time and pack a lunch, you'll save money.

Eat breakfast to kickstart your metabolism, otherwise your body thinks it can survive on fewer calories.Instead of eating until your full try to have a 3 balanced meals and three healthy snacks.
A good way to accomplish your weight loss is to have a daily journal of your exercising and everything you eat or drink for the day.The journal makes you more aware of what you are actually consuming. You may also want to set smaller goals.(In 5 lb increments instead of the 30 lbs at once)
It makes it much more manageable and fun.

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!

i think you need to exercise more too. dont overindulge especially at night. eat breakfast even if its and apple. having six SMALL meals a day will most definately help too!
