The answer to many of our problems is found in preventing them in the first place. U.S. law 103-417 has shown that over 20,000 studies conclude we can prevent disease such as cancer, heart disease and osteoporosis, 2 of the 3 biggies, by proper healthful diets. Here is a link to the FDA's website and law http://www.fda.gov/opacom/laws/dshea.htm...

The problem is, who's going to advertise it? Not the pharmaceutical industry as that will deminish their profits due to creating only one drug instead of many drugs for many symptoms. Not the disease associations, Cancer Inst. Diabetes Assoc... as that will put them out of business. Of course we keep supporting them because we want "the cure". Diabetes magazine, a national publication, wrote an article how drug companies are not looking to create cures, they are looking for more ways to treat symptoms. In fact, they are looking forward to the next block buster disease. Diabetes has lancetes, glucose monitors, shoes, socks, insulins, boots, several drugs for circulation, glucose monitoring... and more. They are waiting for a similar disease to create more products and profits. This is why I don't support the "Race for the Cure" or any other like organization.

We all know that eating properly is key but, did you know the FDA raised the servings amount of fruits and vegetables to 9-11 servings everyday? Why? Because our foods do not have the nutritional value they had 50 years ago and we need to eat more to get the same previous value. Who even eats the 3-5? That is why we need to supplement our diets with whole foods nutrition.

This is also why I became a wellness consultant and although I know the task ahead of me is daunting, the reward will be great. I could sure use your help in spreading the word. Thanks.

All I know is that if I had cancer, I would start taking all natural antioxidants, lacctoferrin and eat alkaline foods. I will continue to use my infrared comforter to help me stay alkaline and keep checking my ph level. I'll give it a place it won't like to live!

Some cancers have a more clear genetic link. Examples are breast/ovarian and colon cancers. They have a clear genetic link and the risk of cancer is transmitted to the generations. Other cancer links in families are less clear. For example, you may see lung cancer in several members of a family, but you notice they are smoke and started smoking very early.

In general, cancer genetics aren't likely to skip generations and alternate genders.

As you have described, the family members present a familial cancer procedure that is hereditary. You would better see a genetics counseller. They will probably advise you have a regular screening for cancer,so that you can be treated in the early stages if diagnosed with cancer sometime. It is true for your other siblings and no difference.

Talk this over with your doctor. there are so many theories about cancer and each type of cancer behaves differently. Only a doctor can give you reliable information. Remember everyone has a right to an opinion even the poorly informed so you will get all kinds of rotten advice here. Some that could be very scary so please go to your doctor.

You can go and get tested for the genetic marker for cancer. If you are that concerned & I think you should be, I would go & have the test done.

If you test positive then you can take the proper precautions to help catch it early or prevent the disease from developing into a life threatening illness.

you shouldnt worry at all. you know it has killed both sides of your family. it is genetic. it can also be caught in time, so instead of dying from worrying , live and have yearly check ups. reason i can say this to you. is in august 2001 i had my right lung removed because of lung cancer. i had deaths on both sides of my family resulting from cancer. so just find you a good dr. and tell him your story and have those yearly check ups. good luck. and quit worrying so much.
