he's trying to say that hippos are sexy even though i kknow he is much more into turtles. what do you think? should I be mad at him?

Well, ask him what you can do to be more like a turtle then. If that's what he wants, you can try to pull it off. It is possible he likes hippos, but if he's into turtles that is what you should strive for. Maybe a turtle-hippo hybrid is an attainable goal for you.

I have never seen a sexy Hippo, they are huge and there is nothing attractive about comparing your girlfriend to a Hippo.When was the last time that you saw a cute girly looking Hippo.

I think your boyfriend is a schmuck. Why dont you call him a jackass and tell him that they're sexy. I think it was very mean of him and I would dump his butt. You never say that to anyone unless they're wearing a hippo costume for halloween. I would be very mad at him. If he really respected you like he ought to he wouldnt have said that.

I don't know how old you are, but it doesn't really matter. In my first marriage the verbal abuse started with that kind of joking (although I was pencil thin). As time progressed, it quit being funny and the taunts got worse. Next came the physical abuse. And no, I never thought it would happen. After all he was so nice, and he loved me right! I would make it very clear that you won't allow any such remarks. If he loves you , he won't say such things. Stop it in it's tracks now. You won't be sorry.

sweet heart ,that is mean ,so sorry to hear that OK ,but don't be mad ,GET EVEN ! there is so many different way to be diplomatic when someone is a bit over weight ,but Hippo is too much .
