I have my first Torniment next Saturday and I need to know what they are like.

A tournament has each team ranked.(1st, 2nd,3rd,etc.) Depending on how well you did in your season. If your team is ranked low, you will have to win all of your games in order to play in the championships. If your team is ranked high, you won't have to play as many games. There are several different tournament styles out there. The most popular one for volleyball would have to be a "pool" setup. All the teams entered in the tournament are divided into "pools". You play the teams within your pool once or twice to decide the ranking in the pool. Once all teams have played the teams in their respective pools it is time for play-offs. Depending on the number of teams the top team of one pool will play the lowest ranked team of the other.
The winners of those games will advance further and play the other winners from the other play-off games until only two teams are left for the finals.

Middle school tournaments have 3 teams. Team A and Team B play, the loser plays team C and then the winner of both games play each other. I think thats right, i haven't played a middle school tournament since the fall season and club is different.

they will start with a ballit of who will play who to rank you into skill level!!! If there are 8 teams there for example:
Bears play Falcons
Wildcats play Boars
Redskins play Hawks
Lions play Seahawks
the losers of each game (say all the teams on the left ahnd side) separate into pairs and play each other and so do the champs of each game
once all the teams have played each other they separate and play the championship games!!!!
Then they hand out trophys!!!!

its like a regular game but a lot more pressue to not mess up just focus and you will do great trust me good luck!!!!
