I ran windows update. I'm sure it's a setting in the new browser but which one?

could be an add-on issue. I've run into this with Acrobat plugin in IE7. Try uninstalling Flash and Acrobat and reinstalling with latest versions.

Before uninstalling any plug-ins/add-ons for IE7, try starting up IE7 without any plug-ins...if it still does it then start to uninstall plug-ins testing each time you remove an app.

To start IE7 without plug-ins (Safe mode) do the following under XP/Vista:

Click 'Start'>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>Internet Explorer (No Add-ons)

use IE7 without plugins or you might have a virus

just dont use it anymore use mozilla or netscape they're both just as good.
