Its very normal. Dogs shed every year. Due to weather. Sometimes they may shed more than other times because weather temperatures change. My dog sheds to. During that time we keep her in a place where she wont get hairs stuck to the couch. It lasts for about 3 weeks or so.

Doing the bath too often can upset the balance in the oils of a dog's coat.Cold weather should work the other way on the coat-i.e now is the time they are less likely to shed.
Get hold of a feed high in omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids -that will help the shedding to stop.
Undue/excessive shedding also occurs with dogs under stress, pregnant and lactating females and sick dogs

You very likely loosened up the hair that was about to shed anyway. Some dogs shed alot depending upon the breed. Frequent brushing will help. Some people use a canister vaccum to help remove some of the hair too.

Could be weather related, it isn't likely to be anything wrong.
Frequent brushing like the other said is always good.
Check your dogfood, is it a good quality dogfood like Hundenflocken or is it a "cheapie" like "dogsrus" food?
