I've had this actually happen to me not ot long ago! This guy named Dillon my crush asked me out so during hall time(between classes) I went up to him & I asked him"Do you really want to know if I'll go out w/ you???" & He said "Well, at first when i was assigned this dare~ I hated you, but now i'm actually asking you out ~ will you go out w/ me??" & I said "YES!!!!!" & now he's my boyfriend & he's the sweetest & most caring boyfriend I've ever had!!!so yeah, just ask him!!! good chances are that he'll think harder about it & say YES!!! Wait until the guys GROW UP and mature a bit more before even considering going out with them.
This situation sounds like you are somewhere between 11 and 15 years old, which is too young to be dating anyway.
And if the guy is older than that then he is HORRIBLY IMMATURE and you shouldn't have anything to do with a creep like that!
So, either way, avoid the guy. Crushes come and go quickly when you're a teenager.
Right now just concentrate on doing well in school. Boys really aren't much good for "date bait" until they are juniors or seniors in high school.

Go for it!!! I would never take this kind of dare unless I was at least interested. Maybe his friends know something you don't and used this as a way to force him to ask you out. And yes, I would dare a friend to ask out a girl he likes if he is too nervous to do it on his own.

Think about these things:
1) Is he nice to you, mean, or indifferent?
2) Are his friends nice to you, mean, or indifferent?
3) Are his friends mean people in general?
4) What was his demeanor when he asked you.
If he and his friends are nice, then they may have dared him to do something he's been longing to do forever but was too scared (ask you out!). If they are mean, then it was probably just a joke. If he and his friends are indifferent, maybe you're just a friend or someone he doesn't really mind of their presence.
Your best bet is to ask him about it, just say that you were wondering about it. It's best to know than not know, then you can know whether to move on or hang onto this cutie!

First off, how do you know it was a dare? If it was....was it a dare because it was a joke or was it a dare to help him get up the guts to do it? People sometimes do stupid things, so I wouldn't hold it against him, unless it was done to be cruel. The best thing to do is just simply to ask him about it.

Keep in mind that if he is too nervous, he would say that it was a dare, even if he did it on his own.
That being said, I think you should maybe go out with a group of people...maybe to go see a movie? That will take the pressure off of you both, and will still let you get to know him better.

Ask Him! If it was only for the dare, kick him. If the dare dare finally gave him the courage to ask you, give it a shot. If you think he is lying when you ask him, kick him twice.

make him take you out. dont get all goo goo over it though cuz it might be a joke to him being that it was a dare. but the only way your going to see his true feelings is to get him out on his own away from the losers that dared him.. dont get you hopes up., but atleast get some free grub

well if he had to do it by getting dared you should know what kind of person he is. wether he likes you or not is something you have to find out by asking. you should be able to tell by the way he acts

Maybe his friends knew that he liked you. Then they dared him to finally do something about it. Maybe he just needed that extra little push. Go out with him, and find out what he's thinking.
