but are all for homosexuals forcing theirs? Yes, I am a Christian, and think the Bible says homosexuality is wrong. Just because I think that doesn't make me wrong or bad or mean I hate homosexuals. All it means to me is that they sin just like everyone else. They just don't think its a sin, and try to get everyone else to think the same way. How is that not intolerant of my views?

you people apparently haven't heard of the legislation that says any speech against homosexuality is "hate speech." No, its not hate speech because I say its wrong, its an OPINION. Guess what, despite what you all "free thinkers" think, Christians are allowed to have their own opinions. Yes, my views are based on reason and intellectual thought, not blind allegiance.

Some say there will come a day when Christians will get in trouble because of their beliefs. I can tell that day isn't too far off with the responses I got here to a simple question!!! If I cannot think or speak out that I think gay people are sinning, that is a direct violation of my freedom of speech, which all you dill weeds seem to want to take from me. THAT is what I'm worried about, not that gay people are going to try to make me gay... that just seems a little silly, don't you think?

You aren't being intolerant. The world nowadays says if you don't change with the times, there's something wrong with you. Well, I'm sorry to say that God hasn't changed His mind about ANY kind of sins, and I'm not just singling out sexual sins here; ALL sins, are just as offensive to Him today as they were when He first said DO NOT EAT of the fruit of the tree. It's WE who have moved away from Him. His opinion is unmovable on the subject! PERIOD!

i'm gay yet im only imagining what an answer from a christian liek thsi woul dbe... a million. that is how all people is. why are you forcing the perception onto us that some christians could close up and that that is totally nicely to be gay? "considering the fact which you're top"? nicely they think of they are top... so yeah :P 2. because of the fact that is to help. a christian believes taht homosexuality is a sin, and the sinner will bypass to hell. nicely, they may be a sturdy individual by ability of helping a sinner out of hell. 3. because of the fact they secretly are gay. a super sort of circumstances, people who abhor gay all people is only offended that they themselves can not be out, or why they have the concepts and can't act on them. It irks them seeing different adult men satisfied + unfastened jointly as they are compelled into the corner. so as that they attempt to make different's lives depressing. Crab mentality, like how crabs pull one yet another down jointly as all attempting to flee the bucket they are caught in. If one can not attain the precise, why could the different? To be straightforward, it relies upon no count if that's the sturdy christian who desires to help vs the homophobic guy (no longer even christian, they might say they seem to be a christian yet they actually are not, they are only utilising it as an excuse) who has the thoughts yet can not act. edit: to brett. your profile %has pink hair and the background is a rainbow. i think of that is sort of inferred you're gay, you do no longer could say it.... re-edit: yeah you greater valuable exchange it XD

Today many gays are oppressing themselves and forcing through peer pressure on young men to do anal sex.If it's not anal it isn't gay. That's what they say.We must remember that the cross of Christians was preceded by the sword and roads of Rome.Trying to make everyone think the same way is not democracy.Gays are not being democratic by forcing young young men to have anal sex and the community at large is unaware of this. They oppress each other far more than their heterosexual brothers and sisters.Go to some of their websites and you see what I am talking about. Not all Christians are fundamentalist and so I don't think they try to force their beliefs on others.I don't see Lutherans,Presbyterians,Orthodox Christians doing this.Only evangelicals from the Bible belt.So I am not against Christians in general. But I disagree with gays and Evangelicals who deny themselves the democracy that all of us deserve

Um.... what do you consider "forcing"? I see Christians as forcing their beliefs by wanting us all to convert to their religion and effect MY life by trying to make laws based on their religion.

Gay people on the other hand...They aren't making you turn gay! So how is that affecting your life personally? By existing? Then stop thinking about them! As far as I can tell they just want people to mind their own business and they will mind theirs.

If anything their push for equal rights affects a law that would help them have certain benefits that married couples get...that isn't even effecting society, and not at all your own life personally.

i do not see them trying to pass laws to restrict your freedoms.

this is the difference. they just want the same rights that every other human in this country has.

many Christians want them excluded from these rights because they violate the Christian beliefs.

you say that they are forcing their beliefs. no they are fighting for EQUAL rights. just as the Black people had to, Just as Women had to. Just as the Native Americans had to. Just as Pagans have to. all any of us want is to be treated EQUAL. i really cannot complain much because i am Pagan, but in general life nobody but me knows that. and i am a middle aged white male so i have most of the stereotypes going for me. but i still fight for the rights of others because if i was the minority i would want somebody to help me out. and i believe that all men are equal and should be protected by the laws of man from the persecution that many gods would put against them.

How are homosexuals forcing their beliefs again?

Ah ok.

Yeah it does sound silly to think that gays are trying to make you gay, but yknow, there ARE "christians" saying that. I know its not your fault, but maybe if more moderate christians stood up and said that they dont hate gays instead of just letting Pat Robertson and Ted Haggard speak for them, maybe there wouldnt be a debate on censoring them

That being said, I agree that you have a right to voice your opinion. I'm not for anyone forcing their beliefs on anyone else. But dont you think its kind of a pointless thing to be talking about? I mean seriously, you have the right to, but what do you think itll change?

There are about 300 billion stars in our galaxy. There are about 300billion galaxies each with about 300billion stars. Perhaps half of those stars have planets orbiting them and the planets have moons orbiting them. Many of those planets could support life.

On one minor planet orbiting an ordinary star in an ordinary galaxy there are about a million different species of organisms with life. One of those species has six billion members, they are called humans.

Now with all that going on, if there is a god, don't you think he might have one or two more important things to worry about other than who I have sex with? If gods aren't worried, why are the so-called Christians?

How exactly are homosexuals forcing their beliefs?

Homosexuals are asking for equal treatment with heterosexuals.

Forcing their beliefs would be doing things like passing an anti-gay marriage ammendment. Something the Christians are doing.

You are an idiot.

I've never met a homosexual who goes around trying to convince Christians that they aren't sinning (unlike some Christians who go around trying to convince homosexuals). All they ask is that even if you think it is wrong, you still accept it as their choice to make and respect it.

I have never had a homosexual show up at my door and tell me to convert and start loving women.

My children at school have never been told by their friends that if they don't start liking the same gender, God will send them to hell forever.

The President of the Country doesn't say a little prayer to The God of Interior Design when a crisis hits.

How can you compare the two?
