There are cases where escaped parakeets (Budgerigars) have survived and even set up colonies with other escaped birds. In the 1960s there were several groups numbering into the thousands in SW Florida. They have pretty much died out since the 1980s, probably due to competition for nest sites with another non-native species, the European Starling. I do think you should try to find your bird, though. His chances are not very good.

No not with out sowing the the native foods and have a group that will take them on in the wild.

No They are not always aware of predators as they were bred in captivity and fail to develop the same senses as those of the wild

no. put his cage outside with the door open and hopefully he will fly back in before an owl gets him or he starves or freezes, depending on where you are. call to him and put his favorite foods out.

that depends on the weather conditions. They may come back home to you though
