A toner may be good temporarily, but it dries out skin instead of removing the dead skin cells that exfoliating does. An inexpensive exfoliator is St. I ves Apricot Scrub. They make many combinations of this exfoliating scrub - normal, acne prone (with salicylic acid), sensitive, anti wrinkle, etc. It runs about $2.50-$3.00. Another to try is Olay Regenerist, Clinique, etc. There is no need to spend a fortune on an exfoliator. The St. Ives has been around for a long time...and there's a reason for it...it really works. Good Luck!

My favourite exfoliant is the Dr Lewinn's Private Formula Facial Polishing Gel. It has jojoba wax beads and is very gentle, yet very effective. And it smells and feels amazing. It is a little pricey though, so if you're looking for something less expensive, try the St Ives Apricot Scrub. It's rougher than the Dr Lewinn's, so you can only use it twice a week, and be gentle with it. It's been around for years and years, and is a very good product for its price.
Astringent will not exfoliate your skin. Exfoliating means removing the dead skin. Astringent is not designed for this purpose.

The one product that I absolutely love is Neutrogena's Daily Scrub. It is an exfoliator and I think it works awesome. Before I go to bed, I use it and follow up with the astringent.

An astringent is not an exfoliator. They are two different things.
An astringent is usually alcohol based and restores the pH to your skin after washing.
An exfoliator removes dead skin cells.
But to answer your question, a mild, daily exfoliator that works very well is baking soda.

I've used St. Ives Scrub or the Neutragena Scrub.
To go totally natural, mix oatmeal flakes and egg white together, put on your face, leave on for about 5-10 minutes and rinse with warm water. Follow-up with a mild astringent (Neutragena's good) or even something like Witch Hazel.

I think St. Ives Apricot Scrub is okay, but for extra deep action use Clinique's face scrub. The combination of menthol and calcium particules make for a thorough removal of dead skin and opening of pores to clean easier.
A product like this should be used only occassionally, twice a week or so.

With very dry dermis you're services to dry patches which bring about peeling. the plain determination you will possibly might desire to make could be to exfoliate and eliminate that lifeless dermis, yet it incredibly is properly inflicting the flaking and peeling extra beneficial than it relatively is healing. dermis would not choose for exfoliation, below prevalent situations, to any extent further than once or twice each and every 2 weeks. i might say try a foam based face wash and make sure to moisturize religiously on each and every occasion needed. shop a bottle of facial moisturizer with you on each and every occasion obtainable, and it would not do you harm to word 3 or 4 cases an afternoon. Proactiv makes a face wash with exfoliating beads which does little abrasive harm. verify which you do pair any exfoliating with a moisturizing mask afterwards. in case you have crimson dermis after exfoliating, your exfoliating product is basically too abrasive, or you're being to abrasive in making use of it. in case you have been in the sunlight, your outer layer of dermis is darker than the internal layers. i might stay away from exfoliation any day you have seen exposure. The sunlight is like protecting a hair dryer up on your face for hours on end. it is going to dry you out and burn you in case you do no longer combat back with moisturizing and a high quality SPF sunscreen. i might advise a moisturizing mask each and every night for 3 days for on a daily basis you spend out in the sunlight. Exfoliating removes lifeless dermis. it relatively is its purely purpose. Exfoliating after being in the sunlight particularly much encourages peeling. once you peel, you're removing the darkest layer of dermis, revealing the subsequent lighter layer. it's going to make you blotch in case you start up removing that layer.

I have sensitive skin and really enjoy the Aveeno Skin Brightening Scrub, better than the Neutrogena.
