I do believe this is possible. But the question is where does this power come from.

Here is my take on the mater.
Satan was once God's most beautiful angle, he was is also call the great deceiver. He can make bad things seem acceptable or even pleasurable. He has a great deal of power and he knows many things. He knows what has happened in the past and he knows what is happening in the presence. He can talk to people in many different ways. But he can not see the future only God Knows the beginning from the end. Not Satan and not other spiritual beings.

When it comes to mediums I believe that they are being deceived by Satan and his demons, They do know things that are happening and have happened. They use there knowledge to deceive people, and in some cases it may seem like they are even helping people. You may ask yourself why would Satan "the evil one" want to help people. The answer to this is quite simple, Satan has only one agenda to stop people from going to heaven. He does this by diverting people from the truth, he has many ways of doing this, one of which is by giving them "special abilities" (mediums, psychics etc).

Just remember that the Bible tells that in the last days people will be draw to these types of things. And that woe to those who call evil good and good evil.

It is all about eternity, a spiritual battle is going on over your soul which side are you on?

I think if she has a record of helping the police solve the crimes, then by all means, hire her to keep doing it. If not, cut her off.
As far as mediums go, there are real ones out there, as well as the phonies too, I think. There is a word called Psychometry, which is used to define someone who can tap into psychic powers while holding or touching something of someone's. Like hacking into their computer of life kinda thing. But anyways, I think it's a yes and no answer for me.

Nope. First, God doesn't work that way. Therefore, the ones who do work that way actively oppose God. "And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end" (Mark 3:26). Since neither Satan nor any other demon will work to be helpful, the only "help" obtained is designed to mislead. "Joan of Arcadia" had a good episode on this, where her dad the policeman concluded at the end that good ol' police work solved the crime and the "psychic's" help only took away valuable resources to follow rabbit trails. That is what usually happens.

Some Mediums have been helpful yes, now I would like to state here that not all Mediums are Witches or Sorcerers.. Having said that I would like to clarify for some very ignorant people who have already answered...I am a Witch , I don't believe in your God (Christian) , so thus I don't believe in Satan.... Do you get it yet ? Witches don't worship Satan , they don't believe in your book.. So how can they (me) worship something we don't believe in? Most Witches worship the Earth , our Mother, and if you Christians did the same our very fragile Planet would be in better shape... You Christians should learn about others beliefs before you go attacking them... It just shows your ignorance your arrogance and your very small mindedness....

I do believe that mediums have the ability to help solve crimes because God has givin all of us differant gifts and talents now how we choose to use them is on us.

no, in fact, I think they are wasting valuable time of the police.

Look for the amount of psychics winning the lottery for the answer on why that is. The track record of psychics in both winning the lottery and helping the police is horrible. The track record of psychics in conning gullible and hurt/desperate people out of their money is 100%.

http://www.randi.org/research/index.html

"At JREF, we offer a one-million-dollar prize to anyone who can show, under proper observing conditions, evidence of any paranormal, supernatural, or occult power or event"
