I prefer Google; it's a lot quicker, and if I asked anything on here I'd only get someone's personal views, I'd still have to check their sources. But others apparently like asking questions better than looking it up for themselves, isn't that their choice?
About spelling, yes, I don't mind a few errors but when it's too hard to figure ot what someone is asking I just go on to the next question.

I think it's a case of both, actually. Maybe some people can't seem to find a way to get off this site to go and explore through the www so they just sit here and ask whatever pops into their heads. Myself, I enjoy searching out the answers to most of my questions wherever I can find them.

Thank you! I ask myself the same thing constantly.
If you want to know a fact AND an opinion/analysis (what is the best remedy for dry skin?, why did we have the cold war?)...
or if you want a laymen's explanation for a complex factual question (how does the brain work?)... then by all means, ask away!!
but when the question is purely factual--(who is Julio Iglesias?, how many quarts to a gallon?, when is father's day?)
...Just Google it!!

TECHNOLOGY has made us ALL much lazier. Think about it...people used to have to leave their house for just about anything 50 years, even 20 years ago.
Now, we can just sit around on our lazy asses and order just about anything to be delivered right to our door off any one of a million websites.
Plus, technology has isolated us more than ever. We as a people don't go out and socialize quite as much as before. Younger kids spend more time on AIM and instant messengers than they do outside playing with friends. A lack of social interaction means we don't go out as much, and therefore are even more lazy.
Also, we have more cable/TV channels than ever. It seems pretty easy to lay on the couch watching 1 of my 100's of channels.

Spelling and grammatical errors can also be blamed on people becoming more lazy. Perhaps what we have is a mix of both.

There are so many questions that could be found by a quick search. It is stupid.

I think some people have nothing better to do so they make up crazy questions that you're right they could find the answers to themselves.
I'm not sure why they'd trust our answers to some of the questions they ask.....LOL

Because real living human beings can give you much more information than a web page can, they can give you ideas, opinions, and inspiration.
