I'm looking for the Surangama Sutra in particular. I'm trying to find the original Pali or Sanskrit version of The Great Crown Dharani. I'm a Buddhist and heavily tattooed, and I would love to add this to my collection. I'm not looking for translated material, I'd like in the actual characters used.

Thanks!

Hi Rock, you sound like one of my favorite inspirations in Buddhism, Noah Levine with those tatts! I'd bet you could ask at the Dharmapunx website... I haven't yet heard of that sutra yet (I'm still working with the Sanghata Sutra, the Heart Sutra, and Yoga Sutra and such, but I'd think maybe he'd know. That I'm aware of, only monasteries have the originals. You might also be able to find what you're looking for through the FPMT.org peoples by asking them directly... Lama Zopa Rinpoche is very knowledgeable. I hope this helps at least a wee bit.
