Depending upon whether it's actually acne, or just hormones, or just the occasional spot, there's loads of different things you can do. If its just the occasional blemish, spot-treatment creams, like Clean and Clear that you can apply to just the one spot are quite helpful. If it is over a larger area, Proactive is effective, but I've found that AcneFree by University Medical is better and less expensive. If its something really serious, you can take prescribed anti-biotics or creams, like tazorac, which your dermatologist would give you. Also, washing your face twice a day with something like clean and clear, exfoliating every couple of days, keeping your hands and hair away from your face and drinking loads of water are also pretty important for good skin.

Well, no one product will cure the pimples in everyone...It's on a one on one basis.....My friend tried Proactive, and some other products and they did not work...so...
1).Always wash your face, then perhaps put on "Ponds cream"
Try that for like a week and see if it gets better, if it does not, then go buy some anti-cream products...but you will spend a lot trying to find the right product for you...
If that does not work, see a skin doctor... -luck

Try Proactiv. It is a bit pricey but worth every penny. It takes about a month to completely clear your skin and your skin will stay that way if you keep using the product.
Be sure that any makeup or moisturizers you are using on your face are oil free and do not clog your pores.
Good luck!

Wash your face everynight with a facial soap, rather than bath soap. There are good products out there for blemishes. If you want to go really cheap, you can use warm salt water, and that will help dry them out. A lot of people swear by Proactive.

the best solution. cheap and easy and good for the rest of your insides! bowl of water, fill it with boiling water and put a towel over your head and bowl so that the steam is trapped. breathe it in for about 5 minutes and then take the towel off and rinse your face with really cold water to close the cleansed pores!
do it like 3 times a week!
works better than all the greasy rubbish u pay loads for!

I've used Pernox since I was a teenager,, I am now 40 and still use it. Works great but it will dry out your skin so I would start with only 3 times a week. You can buy it at any walgreens.

my advice to you is to focus more on what causes your blemishes rather than what products to use on your face.
for example: change your bedsheets (esp your pillowcases) twice a week. wash them in hot water. my face breaks out if i sleep on bedsheets that are not super fresh & clean.
also, be aware to not touch your face with your (possibly dirty) hands, and if you kiss your boyfriend/girlfriend make sure they have clean faces.
besides that, wash your face twice daily with facial soap and put a water-based (not oily) moisturizer afterwards. if your face gets too dry it will also cause breakouts. proactiv works for some people.
these steps help me control my breakouts. good luck!

Erno Laszlo's Sea Mud soap. It does wonders, your skin will be clear in a week, guaranteed. But it's kind of hard to track down in stores. You can get it online, though.
It worked for me and I have sensitive skin that everything else I tried made worse.

Proactiv. I hate to sound cliche, but it really works. I had pretty bad acne, and I saw drastic results within a week. My face looks perfect now . . . it's totally worth the cost!!! Good luck!!!

Proactiv worked great for me. I also recommend using either Proactiv makeup or Burt's Bees makeup.
