Gosh, I can't even think of 10% of it by now. I have 219 feedbacks from SELLERS, so I've bought at least 219 things, including:
Cameras - including my first digital camera and several more, lenses, photo paper, vintage collectibles, gold coins, stereo equipment, CD's, DVD's, baby seats for the car, car stuff, copier toner, typewriters and supplies, paper goods, Bluetooth headset, telephones, clothing, shoes, a raccoon tail, a carpet steamer, on and on...
Of course, you are concerned about getting a bad product and I can tell you that I have only had trouble twice. Once the seller replaced a defective DVD and the other time the seller just told me to keep my item and he refunded me. I never got stuck paying for something that didn't ship or didn't live up to the seller's reputation. ALWAYS check the feedback and READ several responses if you do not know and trust your seller already. Even positive feedback can have some negative thoughts in the written word, like, "Slow to ship, but finally arrived," or "Took three tries to get it right, but it all worked out," and so on.
You can often find cameras cheaper on eBay. If you want REALLY cheap, you might find a private seller who has just moved up into a new camera for Christmas and has a perfectly good, very slightly used camera to sell. Check feedback scores and decide about buying from a private individual.
Otherwise, I'd say to buy from an actual dealer who has chosen to use eBay. I'd say to avoid buying from foreign countries, just because shipping can be such a hassle. Cameta Auctions and 47th Street Photo are two dealers who used to advertise in Popular Photography all the time but seem to be doing all of their advertising on eBay now. I've bought from Cameta a few times and I've been very well satisfied.

Hey Dr Sam!! (Where's Alan?)
I have bought way too much stuff on eBay. Never been burned, did have an item never arrive, but seller refunded money. Try to use PayPal, better protection.
I buy Christmas antiques, camera stuff (lenses, several cameras, a case, clothes, stuff stuff stuff!) I sell on eBay from time to time as well.
