Why are you reading this question? You should be hugging your mate.

Okay, okay,

What is the difference between "Paradise" and "Heaven"?

And what did that famous thief say to get himself to "Paradise"?

Will those words get you to to Paradise?

Sadly, my mate will not be back in my arms until next Wednesday.

The thief crucified next to Jesus said that Jesus had committed no crime. However, I think many other (more modern) thieves simply said "I believe" and expected they would enter Paradise accordingly.

We believe in a different sort of paradise, but no, believing alone will not get me there. The acts of humanity, kindness, and compassion I commit in my lifetime get me there day by day. And she is my paradise.

Paradise is on earth, and Heaven is in the spirit realm above the earth.
He rebuked the other impaled man next to Jesus for his lack of faith, respect and recognition that Christ did nothing wrong to deserve the death penalty.
No, but a study of the bible, sincere application of what it says and a good relationship with Jehovah, recognition that Jesus is Jehovah's means of salvation threw his Ransom sacrifice, is a start.

Paradise was also known as Abraham's Bosom. Since the OT saints couldn't go to heaven until their sins were actually PAID for by the Blood of Jesus, (in the OT they were merely covered by Faith in His coming, as seen in the sacrificial offerings of animals), but Heaven is where Jesus and the Father now are with the saints that Jesus released from Paradise during His 3 days and 3 nights when He descended in the heart of the Earth. Paradise and Heaven is the same. The thief asked for Jesus to forgive him. That's all we have to do too is ask for forgiveness.

If you are referring to the thief on the cross next to Jesus, Paradise and heaven are the same thing.

It was not so much what the thief said to get him self to paradise, and know one can get "them self" there in any case it is God who does the forgiving.

The bible tells us that God is good, God is just, and God is love. But what does this mean? I know some of you are thinking “I don’t believe the Bible is from God, It’s written by men.” Well that’s OK you can reject it but it will not change the reality of the situation. If I said I don’t believe in Gravity I am still bound by gravity’s natural Law when I jump out of a plane, whether I believe in it or not. So whether you believe the Bible or not you still have to face the consequences. So if the bible wrong you have nothing to worry about but if it’s right you have everything to worry about.

The Bible tells us that all bad people will go to hell. Which seems quite fare as people like Hitler, Pol pot, Idi Amin, and Stalin deserve to be punished for what they have done wrong.

“It is appointed for a man once to die and then the Judgement.”

But the real question is, are you good enough to go to heaven. Here is a little test to see if you are good person.

Have you ever told a Lie? Even one lie makes you a liar.

Have you ever stolen anything (No mater what the value)? If you steal something you are a thief.

Have you ever used Gods name in vain? When you use the Lords name to express disgust you disrespect his name, the name of him that gave you life. This called Blasphemy

Have you ever looked at someone with lust? Jesus said if you look at someone with lust you committee adultery with them in your heart and God Judges the intentions of the heart and not just our actions.

If you have answered yes to these questions, by your own admission you are a Liar, a thief, a Blasphemer, and an adulterer at heart. These are just four of the Ten Commandments and you will have to face a good and just God on judgment day. God is so good and just that he will not just punish murderers and rapists but he will also punish liars, thieves and adulterers.

So if you face God on Judgment day would you be found innocent or guilty? Will you go to heaven or hell? Remember that God said ‘all liars shall have there part in the lake of fire.” And “No thief, no adulterer will inherit the kingdom of God’

Hell is a fearful place where no man should want to go the bible describes it as.

● “Shame and everlasting contempt” (Daniel 12:2)

● “Everlasting punishment” (Matthew 25:46)

● “Weeping and gnashing of teeth” (Matthew 24:51)

● “Fire unquenchable” (Luke 3:17)

● “Indignation and wrath, tribulation and anguish” (Romans 2:8,9)

● “Everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord” (2 Thessalonians 1:9)

● “Eternal fire . . . the blackness of darkness for ever” (Jude 7,13)

But God has given us a way so as we would not have to go to hell.

Imagine you are in a court room and you are guilty of a very serious crime. You know you are guilty the Judge knows you are guilty. So you stand before the judge and beg for mercy, but the judge says my hands are tied the law demands that you be punished for what you have done. You have to pay a one million dollar fine or spend the rest of your life in jail. You can’t afford to pay the fine so the bailiff starts dragging you towards your cell. But then a man you don’t even know walks into the court room and says to the Judge I will pay this persons fine, and hands over a check for one million dollars. The Judge turns to you and says your fine has been paid in full you are free to go.

How do you think you would feel towards this man, I’d say you would be extremely grateful, you would want to know how you can repay this person.

This is what God has done for us. He sent his only son Jesus Christ, God in human flesh to suffer and die on the cross, rose from the dead on the third day defeating death. He was the perfect Sinless sacrifice he payed the price for our sins so that we would not have to go to hell. You broke the law and our fine has been paid in full.

So what do you have to do to receive this forgiveness? The Bible tells us that we must repent, that is turn from sin and put our trust in Jesus. Don’t just believe in him have faith that he did this because of his love for us.

Today, with all your heart—turn away from sin, and surrender your life to Jesus Christ. Please don’t put it off till later. You may die today and then it will be too late. You may not yet have all the answers to your questions, but better to put on the parachute first and then ask questions, then to pass through the door unprepared, grasping for the parachute when it’s too late. You can pray something like this—"Dear God, today I turn from all my sins (name them), and I put my trust in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. Please forgive me, and grant me your gift of everlasting life. Amen." There is nothing magic about these words—it is the attitude of your heart that God cares about.
