Would you say that the biggest issue here is the lack of understanding that people have for others beliefs or lack thereof? Yes/No Why?

Not really...I think the biggest issue is that they are content with their lack of understanding....Questions are asked and no value is given to answers.

No not at all, I am comfortable that I have done my research on most of the topics discussed. Sometimes I find out new things for wjich I am grateful.

The biggest problem is that some people are unused to having their beliefs questioned and their viewpoints challenged.

I think that for many the biggest issue is the desire to look smart by giving smart alecky answers and putting others down. While they don't show a great intelligence, they think they are.
On the other hand, there are a lot of serious people posting here who are trying to understand one another and to be understood.

No. Fundamentalists minds are the problem here and everywhere in this planet.
Just put on the TV.

I think we understand one another perfectly. I understand exactly what the religious fundamentalists want to do to the laws and the schools....and I hate them for it. I am sure they feel the same way about me. This to me is a cultural war.
