In order to fully grasp the magnitude of our current problems, we must reopen the books on the events of oppression. Our objective should not be to cry stale tears for the past, nor to rekindle old hatreds for past injustices. Instead, we should seek to enlighten our path of today by better understanding where and how the lights were turned out yesterday..We should also understand that oppression should be viewed as a stating point for understanding the the Oppressed-American's.psyche, and not as an end point. Therefore, the study of the Oppression in America's psyche should include psycho-history, but itt should exclusively concerned with events in the past.
The list of attiudes and reactions which we have inherited from oppression is probably quite extensive. Hopefully, a look at this tarnished legacy will serve as a stimulus for us to rid oureselves of thise oppress ideas, both individually and collectively.

The USA I suspect you mean. Be cautious, there are pro illegal sorts roaming around that would love to dissolve and un impower your anger about the many illegals who come to the USA by starting up with the "American" is a land mass not a country sort of thing.
Yes, the USA could use some big changes in the way it is being governed. I think a fastideous focus on who is getting what from whom would help stop the ruthless criminal/treasonous behavior by our Fed. leaders.
Start enforcing our immigration laws and slowly remove the illegal criminals that have stolen in to our land.
I have nothing agains people coming here to work but I don't believe they should be allowed to have children here that won't or can't learn to speak English. True for the workers as well. Come and work for cheap but don't mess with our land and it's well being. Nothing un Democratic about that I don't believe.
We also need to wake up to the fact that legal or illegal ...there are too many people in the world and certainly too many in the USA. Global warming, international diseases, starvation and overpopulation by the world poorest people are the reasons and the outcome of misdirected and low level Governmental flawed services.
I see no one on the presidential horizon who will solve any of these problems or for that matter would be willing to discuss them in an open forum.
Don't look now but ...THE SKY IS FALLING!

a super sort of human beings blame our governments, and incredibly have hatred of their hearts for our leaders at circumstances, yet this only shows how dumbed down we've all develop into, it incredibly is barely like killing the messenger. that is no longer our governments who's the basis reason at the back of peoples anger international extensive, as we've diverse governments and heads in international places international extensive, yet that is no longer only one united states of america have been the all people is aggressive against their ruling bodies that is international extensive, So we could look someplace else for the reason; the ingredient we come across that's the catalyst for all peoples issues around the full international is the Banking cartel, and as we've seen some sturdy human beings have known this probability and tried to handle it and payed with their lives. So till the folk awaken to the Banking Perils we are able to lose each little thing.

first of all im mexican, and well the system of the usa is very good their presidential system is good even thinking their courrent president not, the supreme court is and impresive institution, for me is the best of the us and their congress is good, not a the same level that a parlamentary system because in the presidential system is a little weaker institution. However the US should think a few in the electoral system and if they need to get a reform. in 2000 they had a post-electoral crisis because US used the indirect vote system that can allow that the canditate with less votes but with more electoral college votes could win the election. and this is the question what is more democratic, the will of the most of the popùlation or the will of the most of the electoral districts? In my country our post electoral problem was more in the sense of if we need a rigid presidential system or if we need a parlamentary system

I have no idea what r1b is rambling on about, but the only thing the poster mentioned that was even close to what was asked is what was in his or her final paragraph.
I don't think anyone CARES what YOU want to call the country that is located between Canada and Mexico...America, United States, or even Mars....I know I don't. We are still the United States of America.
No matter what you want to call the U.S., or what you quote from the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, or any other document, "the Americas" is STILL comprised of 2 continents.

America does not have a government. You see, there is no such a thing as ‘American’ nationality, America is not a nation America is a continent with many nations in it. The US never named itself the name of the United States is a designation it comes from the end of the Declaration of Independence, "WE, therefore, the Representatives of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, in GENERAL CONGRESS, Assembled...". The preamble to the U.S. Constitution reiterated the phrase: "We the People of the United States..." (The authors of these two documents probably used the phrase "united states" in place of a list of colonies/states because they remained uncertain at the time of drafting which colonies/states would sign off on the sentiments therein.) The geographic term "America" specifies the states' home on the American continent.
It is therefor incorrect to refer to US citizens as Americans with the intent of denoting citizenship, or the United States as America with the intent of denoting a nation. Americans have a term for US citizens, we are called United Statesians by the rest of Americans, to say American with the intent of denoting citizenship or America when we mean the United States reflects poorly on our attitude towards the 70% of Americans that are not United Statesians.
Also, although some people would like to believe that America is not one but two continents North America and South America. If you think about it though the term U.S. of A. is a glaring example that this line of thought is incorrect, if America was two continents instead of one, shouldn’t it be U.S. of N.A. (North America)? We say Columbus discovered..... ? AMERICA, not South America or North America.
If you want to study repression in America you would do well in studying the native Americans from Nome to Patagonia. Few people have been quite as repressed and oppressed as they have.
Hope that helps.

The government we have is one of the best available. We might want a different chief civil servant to administer the thing, but I do not want to change the government itself in any way.
