Take a shower, and wash your hair. When you get out, have gel ready. Towel blot your hair, and put some gel in your hands. Then put the gel in your hair, and squeeze the ends, pushing your hair in an upward motion. When it is done, let it air dry.

After washing hair, comb out tangles, etc. Put mousse or gel in and distribute. Grab your hair dryer and turn it on. While blow drying your hair with one hand, take you other hand and grab the hair from the end and kinda push it toward your scalp (causing the hair to make bends). The bigger chunk of hair you can fit in your hand at a time, the easier it is. While you're scrunching the hair toward the scalp, blow dry at the same time. When that section of hair is nearly dry, move to another section. This way you won't over dry it and the scrunch will set.

oo im a pro at this :)
1. get a shower
2.wrap your hair in a towel just to get it slightly dry (or blow dry on a low setting) just dry enough not to be dripping
3. get about a palm full of mousse
4. rub your hands together
5. flip head upsidedown
6. use your fingertips to press the hair to your head in a scrunching motion
7. then flip head back up and part the hair, and continue to scrunch every once in awhile until dry
you can also use your blow dryer on a low setting to dry it faster while scrunching

I don't know if my answer helps. I have naturally curly hair (kinda loose and springy). But I scrunch my hair and add products so that they are not so loose. I have noticed that ONLY shampooing is better than putting conditioner in cuz the conditioner (cream rinse) loosens them even more. I use both gel and hair spray. This gel that I get at Wal Mart, made by FX called Curl Booster. They have all different kinds. Check it out!
