Just Happy Birthday is sort of boring, so i want something... extra.

Well it depends what sort of friend it is! If your friend is more of a serious or mushy (emotional) type than just tell them how much they mean to you and how you couldn't live without them or something along those lines but if your friend is a funny, laidback sort of person than just write some kind of joke that they would understand or even sometimes an funny insult (like picking on how old there getting, ect.) but if you still can't think of anything to write then look up friendship quotes on the internet, you'll find funny ones, serious ones, anything you need and i gaurantee that you will find AT LEAST one that is so true about either how you feel about the friend or a joke that seems that it MUST have been written especially for you two!! My own greeting usually includes my 'birthday blessings' and wishes for their personal new year to be happy, healthy, prosperous and fun ... something along those lines ... if they're passing a milestone birthday - (16, 18, 21, 30, etc.) then there's an opportunity to add something that is appropriate for that age - like voting or having champagne (legally) for the first time ... and so on.

I agree that it's really hard to write a birthday message. Instead of just writing "happy birthday", tell your friend why you like him/her -- the qualities that have allowed your friendship to improve. My friend did this for me, and it really made my day that she spent the time and thought into writing a list about our friendship instead of just writing on a storebought card and buying a ready made gift. Your hugs and giggles make me happy when Im sad. Your jokes and smiles make me smile when Im mad. Your better than a sister your more than just my friend. Thats why your my best friend! Your a great friend you always make me smile. So I hope me and you can be friends for awhile.
I duno really I just would write tham a poem.but friends klike tot know how much you enjoy them being aroud! Make sure to tell them you love them. Cuz my brother died when I was 13 and i cant ever remember a time I told him I loved him. and i regret it so much. Make sure they knwo you love the,. You enever know when your last days with them are.
