guys are intimitated by attractive girls but why? I think that I am pretty and I have never had a boyfriend. I know one reason is because I am shy. But I am only 14 so I think I will overcome it someday.

I think it depends on the guy. If a guy finds a girl attractive, he may be intimidated by her for reasons of shyness, etc. It's hard to tell, though, because each person is different. As for boyfriends, don't worry, you have plenty of time. I didn't get to have a boyfriend until I was 19, but it was worth the wait because a few years later he married me and we are very happy.

Yeah, I think that's definitely a possibility. One reason might be that guys assume that a pretty girl already has a boyfriend, so they don't approach her. I don't know...I never had a boyfriend in junior high or high school and once I got to college I started dating and my boyfriend couldn't figure out why no one had ever asked me out before (so obviously he thinks I'm pretty!). Other people tell me I'm pretty too, and it always seemed to me like the boys that shouldn't be intimidated by me (i.e. attractive boys!) would never approach me, but really weird, not-so-attractive boys would. I couldn't figure out why those guys weren't intimidated by me, but maybe it was because they felt like they had nothing to lose. Who knows. But hang in there, even though it sucks right now you're still young and someday you will meet great guys who aren't intimidated. You should work on being less shy, though. Make more of an effort to talk to people in your classes and get involved in things that will help you to meet people, like clubs and extracurricular activities.

At 14 you do have a long time to go, and the guys your age just may not be mature enough yet. But, a lot of guys figure a really attractive girl must already be dating someone, so play it cool until they are sure their single

Well the thing is men dont show emotion they want the girls to ask. The truth is guys are actualy shy. { Believe it or not} The try to act cool so the girls like them. Trust me I'm a guy i can relate to what i said. And a guy that asks is possitive about his feelings.

well first of all you're only 14 at your age i didn't have boyfriend either.. i think in a year or two you will have one..
and guys are sometimes intimidated by attractive girls because of the attitude well some of them don't have one of course they don't like shy persons..

I think another reason could be that some pretty girls think that they're too good for guys, and the fact that some guys fear rejection from these girls.

They can be, but why should they? lol. You will overcome your shyness one day. I did, and I'm completely outgoing which is great!
