A girl and a guy have been dating "long-distance" for 7 months, seeing each other twice within that time period. They are completely compatible for each other, but she doesn't feel physically attracted. Is it worth it to stay together and wait until they can see each other more often? Both are broken up for a couple of days but they can't just stop loving each other. It's hurts both of them so bad to not have the other in their life. She's had this happen to her before, in which she wasn't physically attracted to a person, but grew to like him with time. Should she give this situation time, and work with the one that could be her future spouse? Or end it altogether based on physical attraction?

Well, if they can't be just friends, then in may be in the best interest of both parties to break up the relationship altogether. It's too much for them both to handle if she is not physically attracted. This is a deal-breaker in my book as far as a romantic relationship is concerned indefinitely. He really should date other people and find a woman that will be attracted to him. This is very important for his self-esteem and trust in the relationship. Waiting for something that may never happen and even if it did, it would not be good for either because they both would be settling. Her, settling for someone that she is not attracted to. Him, settling for someone that doesn't feel the same way.

My wife and I are about 8,000 miles apart right now (I'm in California and she's in Saigon, Vietnam). We were also apart for ten months before we were married. That in mind, I know about long distance relationships.

It is extremely difficult to maintain a long distance relationship, especially if you're not married. Both of you have dating opportunities that would be better logically than if you two stayed together. However, logic goes out the window if you two are truly in love with each other.

You have to rely on what little you two have to maintain the relationship. Communication and trust in each other is all you have, and could be all you need if you two are meant to be together. The Internet makes it easier, but chatting with each other for hours every night doesn't replace holding hands while walking through a park. Both of you should make plans to see each other when you can.

Everything will work out if you two are meant to be. However, keep an open mind and a honest heart in case it doesn't.

Good luck to you two.

I'd say chemistry has a big part to play in it. If she can't imagine herself being intimate with the guy then it's a no brainer..dump him. You can't change chemistry and who you are attracted to. SeX is a big part in that equation..if you don't have it then there is no connection. I feel more connected to a man if I want to have seX with him. I think if I don't then the relationship is doomed. A person can do things to change the way they look. However, physical attraction and chemistry is hard to deny. If there is no love and no intimacy then it will never work out. What is important to her? Is seX important? I would not want to be with someone who I didn't find attractive because then I would be tempted to cheat on them. So, my advice would be to figure out what's important first.

physical attraction is less important. what matters is that if they do really love each other why not continue. of course long distance relationship is hard without trust. it's up to them if they want to continue. they can give some space for each other for them to think. if they really can't live without loving each other they can decide whether to continue or not.

Can you and she live without sex? Could live with the idea of her having sex with someone she does feel that way about? No. Find someone with whom you can have a complete relationship with.
