Asia is very big. So is America. Some parts are 50 years behind some parts of America, others are light years ahead. Singapore is for example much more advanced than Guatemala, but Laos is far behind Canada.

If you mean time of day, Asia is one day ahead of America.

For the additional detail you add, perhaps you reffering to Asians customs that adds 1 year to their western age.

For example if you follow this Asian customs, the day you were born people will take you as age 1, while in Western customs we take as age 0.

So if you have a 23 western birthday, with the asian customs you'll be 24.

Not every Asia country have it, mostly its Chinese who use it.

Japan is a year ahead of the US in terms of the electronics. Be more specific in your question.

Depends on the culture... I know what you mean- when you are born, you are a year old... no such thing as being 0 years old in Asia. So yes, that is true in some Asian cultures.

What were you guys drinking?

Generally Asian civilization are thousands of years ahead of Europe (US don't even exist)...

Today the West (US, Western Europe, Australia, Japan) are the innovators, the inventors, the influences of Asian lifestyle and such. Much of Asia produces what the West research, develop and design.

The CONFUSION arises when thousand-year old cultures (like Asian) are forever playing catch up to the West (US, Western Europe, Japan, Australia) technologically. Are we ahead?

Hi, you are probably asking about the age of a person based on culture, nothing else. The Chinese believe that a person's age began on conception and when you are born, you are already a year old.

Other cultures do not have this same reference and so your age starts when you are born. Hence maybe this disparity.
