Plasma T.v (Pioneer 42") No Sound!?

Question

Bought a brand new Pioneer 42" T.V today from Wal Mart. and there's no sound... any suggestions? :(

What did you try to connect and how?
From a DVD player, you need to connect both Video and audio.

Are you sure you don't have it in mute?
Check also the TV settings, perhaps you have the speakers to "off"
Does it have speakers? Or is it a monitor?
