I'm an indian guy 17 years old. I am born in canada so I do not speak my mother tongue and have no accent or anything.
my parents want me to be more connected to my heritage.
I couldn't give a **** about my heritage.
They want me to go on to college and go into medical college and marry some orphan indian girl just so they don't have to deal with the brides parents ya dig?

I want to get an esl certificate and start teaching in china and find a nice chinese girl and then possibly stay there and never see my parents again.

I lived my life and so far I hate most of the indian girls I've met and all the chinese girls I met I felt like I was in love with every single one because they were all so nice to me and stuff. I don't
like american born chinese.

so should I?
listen to my parents and go to medical college and marry some indian woman and be miserable

or

find a chinese girl and maybe get another job if I can marry her
and live a happy life but never ever see my parents again.

Your parents may be right about going on to college, as that'd be a solid foundation. (They can't make you go to med school after though -- but you won't cross that bridge for a couple years anyway, so just ignore any talk about that.) The smart thing's probably to enroll at a college where you can take the ESL course as part of your curriculum -- keep everybody happy about your education.

About the babes though, yeah, ignore your parents and date Chinese or whoever you want. You never know: maybe in two-three years you'll want to travel to China by way of India -- have the best of both worlds.

You should do what is going to make you happy for the rest of your life, no what everyone else wants. You don't want to make choices that include never seeing your parents again. They love you, and will continue to love you even though they may not agree with your decisions. As for the Indian, or Chinese woman, why limit yourself to a specific race? Your soul mate could be any race at all.

To tell you the truth you are going to end up marrying that indian girl. Stop this bull, either leave your house and go today or do what they say.

Well i didint really wanted to go engaged to an indian girl but i did too listenedto my parents, and i am happy i listened to them, i am happy so far.

Good Luck.

We all hope for something that is preety, but settle for something thats best for you.

:- Advise from a Guy in London, who got engaged without even seeing her, you believe that.

i think personally you should do whatever makes you happy. you only have one life and you should live it to the fullest. for the college thing college isn't for everybody yeah it may guarantee a solid future but then your thing may not be going to school for four years. for the girl thing date who you want as long as that person treats you good and your happy that's all that matters. good luck!!!!!!!!!!

your the one who has to live with yourself for the rest of your life. It's up to you to make the right decisions concerning your happiness, and what will make you happy? Doing what you think is right.
