Sounds like she's really weird. I don't know if you've ever tried, but one minute is a long time to look into someones eyes. Most people can't even make eye contact for 10 seconds. Were you guys having a staring contest or something? I can't look my boyfriend in the eye for long without feeling kinda weird and we've been together five years. I think you're gonna have to ask her what she meant, cuz that sounds very strange.

She is either shy, and looking into your eyes embarrasses her (as it usually does for shy people - I know - I was one). Or it could be that when she looks into your eyes, you look at her in such a way that it makes her uneasy in a negative way. Not having more information, it's hard to get an accurate picture. If she is telling you this, it could also be her way of dealing with moving away from the guy she likes so that it doesn't have to be harder than necessary. You could just ask her what she means by that statement. That will clear everything all up for you.

It is a line from a girlie movie and is so stupid. It means that if you sit and stare into someones eyes and can see their soul then they are meant for you. If not then they are not your soul mate. So I guess since she can't stare at you for more than a minute she thinks it is not meant to be. You two must be very young.
