By Laura Peek and Michael Evans, Defence Editor
AMERICAN soldiers in Iraq are being given “anti-fratricide” training to reduce the number of friendly fire attacks against British and other coalition troops, The Times has learnt.
Thirty-two “blue-on-blue” attacks on British and other coalition vehicles have been logged in the past twelve months in southern Iraq, Britain’s area of responsibility.

The training was revealed as Washington and Rome announced a joint inquiry into the killing last week of an Italian secret agent when US troops opened fire on the car in which he was accompanying a freed hostage to Baghdad airport

Not even close. US troops are trained to make every shot count. They are quite good at it as you can see. This makes the rare incident of friendly fire more deadly and thus garners more attention. You ever see a US soldier aim into the air and let a round loose? I have not and I worked in Iraq. US troops are pretty darn disciplined when compared to most combatants.

Would you care to post some numbers supporting that claim?

No? Didn't think so.

Even though you're trolling...I will tell you that the Russian army in WWII often intentional fired on retreating conscripts. How many were killed?

It should be easy for you...you already researched it and compared the numbers since you _know_ the US has the highest rate.

You don't know?

Troll...go away.

**EDIT**
I misread your question as an inflammatory post against the US. For that, I apologize. Still, you should research exactly which country has the highest rate of fratricide before claiming its the US.

My guess is th Soviet Union due to WWII policies.

On a more general note, blue-on-blue as the brits tend to call it does happen. This makes it no less tragic but accidents do happen. It has happened in every war since prolly time began.

Because the US Army is the only army in the world under a microscope 24-7 by News agencies that want to ruin it for their own political agenda.

I wouldn't know that one, but I think form all the news the Muslim's are killed every day.. If not for killing the Innocent people in Iraq their would not be any war.. we could come home and a nation would be free to prosper ...

I thought that was just a known fact.....of course they do. They just try to cover it up more often than not......unfortunately devastated families are not always up to investigating the line of crap the military hands them.

I'm sure if you research "fratricide" you will find many examples of good guys shooting up good guys. While tragic, it is in no way intentional. It's disingenuous to think otherwise.
