Yes, the strength of the US lies in it's democratic virtues, all applicants should be treated equally, if the US starts making assumptions about people then the US is no better than dictatorships like Nazi Germany etc

No. I think they should be encouraged to stay in their home country and work on making it a better place to live.
Also, they may not be able to assimilate. American culture is difficult for many Americans to deal with, I can't image how difficult it would be for someone from one of the countries you listed.

Of course we should let them in if they pass all checks. That would be discrimination not to. And I think we should deport anyone that is here illegally.

Yes, However they must provide a full criminal history before even applying for a U.S Visa, many of them are business people and many of them come here to visit so we can't stop them

The US has a history of protecting those in danger, who helped the US in war. We did it with Germans and Japanese after WWII. In fact, the US made a special effort to round up German rocket and nuclear scientists.
We did it with Koreans.
We brought in many Vietnamese and Hmong who supported the US, to save them from being slaughtered.
Iraqi translators and guides risk their lives and the lives of their families by helping US soldiers. I think we should protect them.
