I've been sick since last sunday. I went to the doctors and they did blood tests on me but I don't get the results back for a while. My symptoms are really sore throat, swollen glands, headache, fatigue, hard to swollow food, not very hungry, and fever. I just want to know what I'm sick with. I also want to know why I'm always sick. I was already sick this month and I was sick 3 times last month. I'm sick, then I'm healthy for a couple of days, then I'm sick again! I'm so sick and tired of being sick and tired!

Mono? Strep throat? Systemic yeast infection, Chronic Fatique Syndrome? It can be many things, possibly stemming from lack of eating foods that heal and nourish, and getting enough sleep and exercise. Once the chronic sickness sets in, it's hard to see straight, I know (been there, done that).

Until you hear the results of the tests, assume it's something that can be helped by the self-care list above and start doing them, even a little. If you are living with someone who can help you, (parents, boyfriend, husband, friend), let them know you really need their help NOW. You are too tired and sick to effectively help yourself right now. Homemade chicken soup for instance, has been proven to help heal and is really easy to make (1-2 chicken breasts, 6 oz egg noodles, carrots, celery, and 4-8 cups chicken or (vegetable) broth in large pot. Add spices of choice like pepper, oregano, etc. Cook for one hour in covered pot). Ask someone to make a big vat for you and freeze some for other days.
Drink plenty of fresh, plain water daily (coffee, tea, pop/soda does not count). Lots of raw veggies/salads and fruits (fruit juice is not a good source of fruit). Plain nuts like walnuts, almonds, cashews (not sugared, not salted) about an ounce a day helps to heal. Check out the 'healing foods' at U of M web site below.

Good luck! It will take time, but you will get better.

How can anyone here know what is wrong with you?

If you are having blood tests then that is the only way of tracking down the infecting organism. No amount of guesswork by pseudo doctors on here is really going to help. I am a physician But to answer your question I would need access to previous diagnosis and medication given . I would also want to know that if given antibiotics, which ones and whether you took the complete course or discontinued them when you felt better. The latter is not how antibiotics work and if you are getting sick again and again then I supect you are not completing the course and creating a super bug within yourself.
For you fever I would prescribe ASIRIN 4 hourly, tepid showers ( luke warm) increase in fluids this will help lower your temperature.. Sore throat disolve ASPIRIN in warm honey and swallow slowley.

Use steam inhalations. bowl of hot water, place some vicks in it ( not too much ) or eucalyptus oil and inghale to relieve congestion and ease the throat.

until the results of the tests come back anyone giving you answers is flying blind.

Ok, this might sound stupid. However, there is a peanut butter recall. Please see link, many have been sick.
