This has happened.
That draw is declared void and the machine is substituted for one of the others (there are a total of 5). The draw then takes place off air, under the supervision of an independent group of officials.

Im pretty sure Twisted got it right but wouldnt it be good if it broke down on the first ball and everybody who had that number won the jackpot (on a guaranteed million draw)
:)
Anyway, last week, I got all six lotto numbers on the Euromillions, and six of the Euro numbers on my lottery ticket. Now how damn unlucky was that???!! lol

This happened once about 18 months back on a live broadcast. They just went to another program then came back when they'd fixed it and finished the draw.

i think they would pay out on the 6 numbers and re-run the draw with the balls that are left over and only picking one ball for the bonus one. if that was your number you would win the rest of the money.

They'd bring in another machine. Thay HAVE TO have a back-up.
Aye.
And if the second one broke, too, then they'd write the numbers on pieces of paper and put them in a hat...

They would bring out the other one. I don't know if they would redraw all balls or just the ones that were remaining when the first machine broke down.

I reckon it would be cancelled that week and people would get their money back or they'd be allowed to use that ticket for the next weeks draw!!
