Sometimes the nails can get causgt on the hair and snag, I have had this problem... still do cause I'm not sacrificing one for the other. What I do is keep my nails smooth and I do an oil rub on them every night to feep them from becoming brittle and prone to crack and break, that what snags the hair, the little chips in the nails.

Whether your hair is long or not has nothing to do with your nail length. Get a good dietary supply of calcium and your nails will be strong and beautiful, even if you wear them short. Using a good conditioner will help maintain hair. and gentle scalp massage is excellent for your hair, it improves the circulation the hair follicles.

Your hair and nails grow largely due to your diet.and your hormones The rate at which your nails grow or are cut, will not affect your hair's growth rate. Think of it this way...when you cut your hair do your nails automatically grow longer...no.....Protein (which what your hair and nails mainly consist of ) is a great way to increase their growth and health. Eat more protein. Things like fish, nuts, red meat, lamb, turkey, chicken, etc. you will want to limit red meat due to the higher fat content..a little is fine and the leaner the cut the better (i.e. filet instead of a ribeye) Gelatin ( JELLO ) is a great way to improve your nails and hair as well. Keep your hair and nails trimmed on a regular basis to keep them healthy as they grow. Also hormones have a great deal to do with your hair and nails...pregnant women always see an increase in the growth of their hair and nails, this is due to the rise in estrogen that occurs when you are pregnant. I AM NOT SUGGESTING THIS AS A MEANS TO INCREASE YOUR NAIL/HAIR GROWTH!!!! If you have recently started taking hormones such as birth control pills this may change the rate at which your hair and nails grow, as birth control pills have massive amounts of estrogen, progesterin, or a combination of the two..sometimes, depending on the brand other hormones are used. Very simply the answer to your question is no, cutting your nails will not cause or increase the rate at which your hair grows! Hope this helps!

Um, as long as you are maintaing your hair well your nails shouldn't have anything to do with it. (Trust me I seen many people with 1/2 inch nails all the way of to 3 inches and their is well cared for)
