We didn't get to have a Valentine's day dinner so I'm making it tonight. I'm cooking Prime Rib with mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. I've got a box of creme brulee that I'm making but what other dessert?

Don't you think the creme brulee is enough. Well then how about chocolate strawberries and whipped cream. Or chocolate fondu with various fruits for dipping.

Since creme brulee is a custard type dish, I would go with some berries in a wine sauce. If you go to foodnetwork.com they have some great recipes for this. I hope your dinner comes out well and that your boyfriend appreciates all the effort you put into it.

Well, I was gonna say coconut cream pie but, your creme brulee sounds better in that department, lol.
How about chocolate dipped strawberries? melt semi-sweet chocolate in microwave measuring cup. Dip strawberries, dripping off excess, and lay on wax paper to dry. Don't refrigerate before serving; they'll sweat. Also, don't forget to wash/dry strawberries and keep the green part on. That's what you hold them by when you dip them. Very pretty.

Make this topping:

1 can cherry pie filling
1 quick splash of amaretto
1 dash almond extract

Stir it all together over med-low heat until the smell of alcohol evaporates.

It's great over cheesecake or vanilla ice cream.

OK this is so easy and great. Get some graham crackers, vanilla pudding and some chocolate frosting. Layer the g.c's and vanilla pudding...probably 3 or 4 and end up with the g.c's on top, then spread on the frosting...put it in the fridge and enjoy at least 1 hour later

mmmm...creamed spinach and prime rib...mmm...

I'm going simple tonite for dessert, but it's tasty. You get a nice super ceramy vanilla ice cream. Take graham crackers and mach them into a fine powder. Sprinkle that over a bowl of ice cream, then drizzle it with honey. I think it's similar to mexican fried ice cream. My husband and kids love it! (me too)

Have a great night!!!

One dessert is enough, garnish it with fresh strawberries.
