cause their priest says its ok. and dont be prejudice against all Christians. there are some really intellectual people out there (even if they dont agree with me). and we should learn to show people more respect.

mightymo- they fight that way because its the only way they can. remember when we fought for our independence. we didnt line up and get slaughtered. we used Guerrilla war tactics to fight our enemy. think about what the British were saying about our tactics.

The Popes once used to ride into battle at the head of Papal armies. The Crusaders were warrior monks. War for God has always been part of Christianity you're just now noticing?
Franklin Roosevelt was said to the nation during World War Two "Onward Chrisitian Soldiers."

Many don't. Both the late Pope and the current Archbishop of Canterbury (leader of the world's Anglicans) have condemned it. I suspect that a vocal minority of evangelical Christians within the US support the war (no doubt for political reasons of their own unrelated to US foreign policy); globally, a vocal majority of Christians strongly oppose it.

because usually when people of faith see a war like the one against al qaeda they understand faith brings courage and not cowardice. to engage in cowardice as the pelosi/reid cut and run scheme doesnt glorify this country or the people who fought for it to remain free. it shirks the reponsiblity we have as americans to set the example of what freedom and not the pelosi brand of poll type politcs is about. the ultimate price of freedom is and always will be eternal vigilance. the pelosi ites will never understand that but christians do...thats precisely why the liberal extremists blocked the proposal to maintain funding.

Real Christians don't think war is OK. The theory of a "just war" is garbage.
Jesus didn't have to use force to accomplish what He did.

Because it is in keeping with Christian values to defend innocent peoples and attack evil. So when we liberate millions from the oppression of a bloody tyrant like Saddam, who murdered and tortured and raped hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqi people, that is in keeping with a Christian belief in using force to give people freedom.
There is one line in the Battle Hymn of the Republic that has always stirred me:
"As He [Christ] died to make men holy, Let us die to make men free!"
You see, sacrificing oneself for the sake of others, so they may be free of oppression, free to practice religion, free to have the rights that is the birthright of we Americans, that is indeed a noble and Christian action.
However, there are people who don't believe in war. They are the same people however, that expect others to sacrifice themselves to protect them. Pacifists rarely exist where others are not around to protect them.

Becouse we want to survive.
Defend ourselves in a war brought to our own soil?
Or Pray for our attackers?
I prefer to go Old Testament on this one.

Because somewhere in the bible Jesus says to take up arms against the infidels, and some how we interpret that as "go kill the muslims." Just like any bible verse, it is worded loosely enough to be used against practically anyone.
