Why didn't you come here legally , be for having your son . Are you trying to work the system too , like the other 20 million illegals ?

You must first have a Green Card before you can naturalize as an American citizen. If your son is 21 or older, he can petition for you using Form I-130.

If you are a Lawful Permanent Resident (have a Green Card) you can apply for naturalization using Form N-400.

You will need to contact the Immigration service and get the paperwork started to become an American citizen.

If you want your child to have a good education, you may want to think about going to Canada, or the UK. They have a better school system and will provide a better education for your son.

Good luck.

You still have the opportunity to become a citizen, but your son doesn't help. You will have to go through the study, test and the swearing in, not to mention all the paperwork.

Sorry but you son is welcome to stay but you have to leave because you are illegal. What, he can't stay by himself? OK, you BOTH have to leave!!!!!! That's called the LAW.

Go back to your home country and start the paperwork RIGHT. Just because he's a citizen doesn't give you the right to be here.

You need to go through the legal process. Please ignore the hateful posters. They don't know any better.
