My wife shaves.

Other methods available are:
Plucking-grows back slower, but takes a long time and can be very painful.
Waxing-same grow back time as plucking, but doesn't hurt as much or take as long.
Depilatory creams (like Nair)-take as long, or longer, than waxing to regrow. It's a chemical that basically "burns" out the hairs. Some people do not react well to this method.
Laser hair removal-relatively painless, and usually after two treatment is permanent. Very expensive.

I just use a regular razor (NOT disposable) and Skintimate shaving cream that I use on my legs. If you shave with the flow of the hair and not against it, it doesn't hurt, though you might feel a slight pinching. I would not recommend any hair "dissolvers" like Nair. My sister-in-law tried it and it burned through her skin. If you REALLY want to wax, I guess go ahead, but no matter what you hear, it hurts like hell.

Plucking (tweezing), Shaving, Depilatory creams and Waxing are temporary hair removal methods.
Waxing usually lasts for 3 weeks, but it is painful.
Electrolysis and laser hair removal are “permanent” hair removal methods but are expensive and you have to find a trained professional, otherwise your skin could be damaged.
