i'm a guitar player ...and god i love it ..anyway everytime i talk to any girl at first she talk normal and stuff but when she know that i play guitar and stuff ..she become .."ohhh really???" ..so if i wasn't good at sports or don't play guitar that turn me to a freak....just grow up girls and try to look around you

Not all girls are like that...just like not all guys are only into skinny blondes with large breasts. There are all kinds of people in the world and there is someone interested in each kind. I personally do not care for jocks or musicians (no offense). I have always been interested in really smart guys and guys that are good with their hands (blue collar type guys). My husband is a geek and very proud of it. I find him to be the most interesting, sexiest guy I have ever met. He doesn't look like a model, but I don't like pretty guys. Even when I was younger I always found a guy covered in saw dust working in the shop or a guy who could explain electrical circuitry and quantum physics to be much more appealing than a guy who can catch a ball, run fast or was in a band.

now i am a girl and girls usually associate sports with masculinity! its pretty stereotyped but its true! now playing a guitar is not a bad thing girls like guys who are sensitive in the sense have an outlet to express themselves cause most men do not its pretty admirable to be honest, but your problem is you need to adopt some other activity which will in a sense balance your guitar playing. Honestly women see that as a sign of weakness but at the same time as something romantic. Sports like wise we equate to strength, how good a man can handle himself cause women like men who can protect them in a sense. So apart from that guitar playing you need to include something that says strength like kickboxing , running , anything athletic. My answer is a bit harsh but unfortunately thats what women want. We associate everything to sex as well dancing talking kissing and even being athletic.so my point is add something sporty into your life. and next time when you introduce yourself to a woman mention the sport first and then the guitar even if you have to lie i bet youll get a different reaction!

Because girls like guys who are good at something! They want to be able to say "Thats MY boyfriend playing that guitar" OR "MY boyfriend is on the ____ team...he's the best player". Girls just want to show you off and being theres. Its a compliment I promise, but its understandable that you would feel its just that they are interested in your hobbies.

You are dealing with girls who lack maturity. You said it yourself. You want them to grow up. You are absolutely right. If a girl can't appreciate you for the qualities you have WITHOUT playing guitar and sports, then she is too shallow and immature. There are plenty of girls out there that have the maturity to accept and appreciate you as you are. You just have to find them. Just keep being who you are and don't settle for anyone who lacks depth and maturity. They are out there. Good luck!

there's just something about musicians that attracts us women! haha. Take it as a compliment!
Also, it's not true that if guys didn't play guitar or sports or whatever girls wouldn't like them. It's just an attractive quality that some women like, but they won't just judge you on that alone. There are more important qualities like kindness, honesty, and loyalty.

It shows they have something they are passionate about, a hobby. I don't want a guy that doesn't attempt to develop his talents, to develop his potential. And they don't have to be great at sports or guitar, they just have to go out of their comfort zone and try something new. It can be anything, racing, something at school, a speech.
That is what makes them different from "normal" guys. When you go out of your comfort zone, it means you are confident, and how many girls out there, including myself, dislike confident guys? Very few.

You sound young. Enjoy it for now. I'm guessing your high school and these girls think one day you'll make it big in a band (no I don't mean the marching band!!). They get a groupie mentality. Years later they'll realize they should have gone after the nerdy book worms who are making way more money....
