I am a first time bride getting married in Vegas this May. The wedding will be on the internet. When my Dad walks me down the aisle and the minister asks who presents this woman to wed, can my Dad lift my veil, kiss me on the cheek, and present me to my fiance/husband?

Yes you can have this done. It's very touching when the father lifts the veil and gives his daughter a kiss on the cheek. Also, that way the people watching from home on the Internet can see your face. I had a friend get married in Vegas and I got to watch it, it was pretty cool. Good luck

Yes, my father lifted my veil and it was nice. One suggestion, have him practice lifting the veil so that he lifts it properly. If not, then it will look messy throughout the ceremony. Mine was a bit messy, but my maid of honor fixed it once I got to the altar.

Absolutely!! Your wedding is your day and can be any way you want it to be! Traditional or UN-traditional! Your dad can lift the veil, YOUR DAD CAN BE YOUR MAID OF HONOR! Its your day. Make it how you want it!

You can do whatever you want for your wedding. This isn't a traditional thing to do, but who really cares.

Yes. But at your age, you really shouldn't have your father "giving you away" - that's for much younger women who are going from their parents home to their future husbands. Hopefully, you have been living independently..... and don't need to be given away.

Yes...I've seen this done and I thought it was better than the groom doing it.
