A man is comming home from work to his room and the 10th floor of apartment building. It is very stormy outside, and when he gets in the building soaking wet, he walks into the elevator. He presses the 10 button and waits to go up to his room.
The same man was comming home from work the next day. It is very sunny outside, and when he gets into the elevator in the apartment building, he presses the 7th floor button and walks three floors up.
Why does the man do this?

He's too short to reach the button for the 10th floor. When it was raining, he had an umbrella that he could use to press the button, but when it was sunny he could only reach up to the button for the 7th floor.

Because rain has been scientifically proven to lessen ones mood. The sun is where we get energy from and it makes since that on a sunny day, the man would have more energy to walk 3 flights of stairs than on a day where it was raining and no sun was present. The man was probably just so excited the rain had stopped that he wanted to burn off some energy and do something good for himself.

the rainy day he uses the elevator all the way up because he is soaking wet and needs to change out of his wet clothes fast. the second day he doesn't really need to do anything so he walk up the other 3 floors.

i have heard this one along time ago. he is too short to push to 10 button on the elevator with out his umbrella.
