Ugh, yes! My mum made me have short hair (chin-length) with a fringe (bangs) until I was eight. I don't see why I had to have the fringe either - it looked cute, sure, but wouldn't a plain ol' bob have been easier to deal with?
And when I was eight or nine, after I'd grown out my fringe, she made me put it in plaits for school, every single day. I looked like a blonde Pippi Longstocking!

Egad, yes! Made for the worst class photos ever! The only good thing about them is a good laugh when viewing them years later. Why do parents do that to their kids anyway?

My mom intentionally kept me away from trendy styles when I was becoming a teenager. She insisted I had to dress "plain" because I shouldn't attract attention to myself. Let me tell you, that backfired like crazy. Do you know how much attention a weirdly dressed "plain" girl gets from normal looking people? A lot. And it wasn't good attention either.

yes i have on numerous occations. But the trick to that is make it your own and make it work for you by adding something or taking away something slightly so they can't really tell the difference. then there is always telling them how you really feel unless you are not quite old enough to be making all your own desicions.

when i was like 3-6, i didn't have any clue back then...but now my mom keeps on telling me to get the hair out of my eyes and to put it up in a ponytail or something but i don't listen....lol

yes i remember i had to have may hair up then this flower thing in it then tied around the flower was my hair it hert really bad. that was the worst day ever.
