If you rub a dryer sheet over the hair it stops static.

Wash and condition her hair every day. The shampoo will get rid of extra oil, and the conditioner will moisturize the hair and add some oil.. (but it won't be too oily since you've already shampooed it). Hair gets staticky when it's too dry. Then, put on her clothes and smooth down fly-aways with a dryer shhet. It really works, and leaves her hair smelling fresh!

If you spray a hairbrush with hairspray first, and then brush her hair, that will help with the static electricity. Also invest in a humidifier to have running in your place will help also. Learned the hairspray trick in beauty school back in the 60's.

Static Guard works the best. Just spray it on your brush then brush thru your hair. You may have to do it a couple of times.

You could try an anti static spray or anti frizz conditioner. Cheaper remedy: use a dryer sheet on her hair. You don't need to dampen it either.
