actually anything that could stack the plates that will fit the equipment and is not made out of metal will work. however you should know that microwaves are designed to consintrate the microwaves at about 3/4's of an inch above the bottom or turn table so you may experiance un-even cooking if you stack the plates too far appart.
At wal-mart there are racks that are made of plastic that works pretty good but again I only use the racks for warming, if you use them to cook you may experiance un-even cooking.

It is a microwave stacker. You should not have to pay the earth for it. Having said that, I hope you are not abroad, outside of England.
