Well, he sneezes around water (he has a bath thingy in his cage) and sometimes after I cover him up I hear him sneeze a few times in a row, or not in a row but still sneezeing, should I call a vet?

Birds that have just taken a bath will often sneeze to get the water out of their nostrils, which sounds like it might be part of what's going on. If he sneezes when he's by the bath, but hasn't bathed recently, then maybe it's making his cage too damp and humid. If you don't change the water often, it could also be growing mold or bacteria. Generally, you shouldn't keep a bath in his cage 24/7. If he likes to bathe a lot, you can offer it once a day, then remove it so it can't cause problems. If he doesn't like bathing quite so much, offering it once or twice a week should be enough. Birds sneeze occassionaly just like humans do. Take him to the vet if he starts doing it frequently, if a lot of discharge comes out (unless he's just bathed, in which case it's common for water to come out), or if his behavior becomes lathargic or strange, but if he just does it at a few specific times, don't worry about it too much, just try to change things a little to solve the problem.

Also, when you cover him up, he might not necessarily be sneezing. He might be "beak grinding," which is something that a lot of birds do when they're tired and going to sleep. It can sound a lot like a sneeze, so I would try peeking to see if that's what's going on.

This is usually normal, as long as the sneezes are dry (no stuff coming out of the nares) and if the nares don't get red. He's probably just clearing his nares from water or from dust that may come from the cover. Pay close attention to him to make sure this doesn't turn into a problem. If anything changes (his poops are different/watery, he's less active and/or vocal, doesn't eat the same/as much) see an avian certified vet (find one near you here: www.aav.org/vet-lookup ) You're doing a great job right now. Also, something to remember is that birds are prey. in the wild, if they show symptoms of sickness, they will be targeted for food, so they will hide their symptoms very well. by the time something is really obvious, it's probably too late. so make sure you watch him carefully! hope this helps and good luck!

Sneezing by budgies usually indicate problems. If he starts to sleep more than be active or sit with ruffled up feathers for any length of time he will need to be vetted.
It could be just that it inhaled water but i have my doubts!

Your bird can either be getting water out of its nostrils or it's starting to show sign's of disease. If it is sick I would take it to the vet because budgies are good at hiding diseases, its in their nature. either way, I would take it to a certified vet just to b sure
